Aerial lift bucket repair involves repairing damaged fiberglass buckets used by powerline or utility companies: BGE, Delmarva Power, Pepco, Potamic Edison, Nextera Energy, Duke Energy, and more.
Why do aerial lift buckets need repair?
Powerline technicians often need insulated fiberglass buckets to help keep them safe when dealing with electrical work on overhead power lines. However, in this line of work, accidents happen all the time.
When aerial lift buckets go through inspection, they can be flagged when going through a dielectric test. A dielectric test verifies the electrical insulating strength in the FRP upper and lower booms, bucket, liners, FRP extensions on digger derricks, tool circuits, and upper control system. Aerial lifts are also rented for other maintenance work, so it's important to maintain the integrity of the aerial work platform.
